Tokyo, Japan. January 15, 2014
NTT Advanced Technology Corporation (NTT-AT, Head Office : Muza Kawasaki Central Tower, 1310 Omiya-cho Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, 212-0014, Japan, President and CEO : Takashi Hanazawa) and Telestax, Inc today announced that the companies have entered into an agreement for NTT-AT to become the first distributor of Telestax Signaling Software RestcommONE and Next generation Cloud Communications Platform RestCommONE on January 16, 2015 in Japan.
With Mobile usage having overtaken desktop usage last year and Over 6 billion supported WebRTC devices by early 2019, people are increasingly communicating, as such a new range of creative innovative services and applications are coming to the market that mashes up the Web with video, audio, messaging and more.
“RestcommONE” is a next generation Cloud Communications Platform to rapidly build voice, video and text messaging applications, using mainstream web or mobile development skills. It enables service providers to fully embrace cloud and NFV initiatives while enabling WebRTC applications. For increased usability, the RestcommONE platform works across many networks, protocols (HTTP, SS7, SIP, Diameter, …) and clients including SIP endpoints and WebRTC browsers. It also includes a variety of options for PSTN interconnectivity and SIP-to-WebRTC interworking.
RestcommONE lets service creators use the RestcommONE Visual Designer or any popular programming language to build voice, video and messaging applications. It does the heavy lifting by integrating with obscure Carrier Networks behind the scenes. RestcommONE exposes clean and powerful APIs for web and mobile phones to foster innovation unencumbered by telecom jargon.
Following on a number of commercial track record deployments of Telestax products in the carrier and communications equipment vendors worldwide, NTT-AT as the first technology partner In Japan will sell and distribute Telestax products as well as provide localized technical assistance. The Telestax products page is now available on NTT-AT website at http://ngw.ntt-at.co.jp/product/platform/
According to Naoki Uchida, chief executive manager of NTT-AT, ” IMS-WebRTC interworking, Open API and the integrated services with Web and real-time communication, and legacy system migration using NFV technology – these are very important keywords in the telecommunication domain today.
